Y2K Spitfire Aerial Demonstration & Fly-by at Nautical Days in Comox
Many thanks to our friends at Comox Nautical Days for adding us to their full schedule of events, and for the write-up below.
Y2K Spitfire Aerial Demonstration & Fly-by – 5PM
Making a triumphant return to the Comox Valley, the F/L Arnold Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX will been seen in a dramatic fly-by the Comox Harbour jetty shortly after 5PM. The Spitfire restoration, which began at CFB Comox, features a 2,000 horsepower, V12 Rolls Royce Merlin engine and is painted in tribute to Arnold Roseland, a Canadian who flew 442 Squadron’s Y2-K aircraft more than 65 times before being shot down and killed in 1944 over France.
I cannot seem to find the DATE of the Flyby demonstration.
Might you be willing to point me in the right direction, or simply afford me the info, which i ms eluding me, for some reason?
Please ignore the request, above. It’s late, and I missed it unwittingly – then found it at:
